Ancho & Agave, Bloomington, IL

The Biaggi’s hospitality group approached Carr Warner Architects to team up with them to create a unique Mexican eatery concept. Inspired by the vibrant and storied culture of Mexican barrios, Ancho & Agave spices up the busy Bloomington corridor with graphic murals, colorful tile and nostalgic elements to create a hip and lively spot for families and taco-lovers alike. The 8,000 square foot restaurant combines multiple environments into one space; a different mood and feel characterizes each zone. Designed to recall the atmosphere of an intimate fiesta, the outdoor patio is a critical feature of the restaurant.  Operable garage doors allow the ambience of the patio to pervade the interior, creating a connected experience.
