A non-descript “Santa Fe” style ranch house was transformed into a modern oasis for a family of five in the Arcadia neighborhood of Scottsdale, Arizona.  Rooms are organized around various courtyard spaces to extend living to the outdoors and provide views of Camelback Mountain while retaining privacy on a corner lot.  The children’s wing includes a kid’s playroom (no basements in Arizona) opening up to a covered terrace by the pool.  An adjacent in-law suite can double as a home office.
