How does one translate the vocabulary that was created for the Bloomington location and retain that concept in a former Pier 1 store? While building from the ground up would have been easier, the design team was up for the challenge. If the exterior couldn’t match every original material then colors, signage, murals and lighting could respect the oringal design. A covered patio was even carved out of the existing interior space since outdoor dining areas was limited.
