Terra & Vine, Evanston, IL

This corner eatery in downtown Evanston required a major overhaul from its previous chain restaurant tenant. Working with "Check, Please!" host Alpana Singh and her team,  the new design would complement her new Italian/Mediterranean concept, highlighted by trendy wood-fired food and a new bar that would draw in patrons catching a flick at the adjacent Century Theater. We envisioned a space driven by modern Italian design of the 1950’s and 60’s – clean lines, fashionable, refined details in brass and black-bronze, and warm wood tones throughout. Terra & Vine is set in an inviting and casual yet refined space that includes family-style seating with rich bronzed leather banquets, bright white-washed weathered wood, and an eclectic collection of textiles. The plan of the space evolved through many iterations to maximize seating while ensuring guest comfort with no bad seat in the house.
