Roscoe Village Modern, Chicago, IL

Our clients desired a modern brick house with a central stair, high ceilings, space to seat up to 20 people for large family dinners and a suite for an aging parent. The simple brick exterior is accented by protruding metal boxes (living room bay, fireplace, dining room buffet) and a curved standing seam metal roof. The bright blue color reminds the home owner of growing up in Puerto Rico. With few walls on the first floor, varying ceiling heights serve in defining circulation paths and “rooms”.
