A John Volk designed home (not landmarked) was renovated/updated to meet the needs of the new owners (and current hurricane building codes). While retaining aspects of the Federal style, the new designs floor plan opens up views to adjacent spaces, exterior courtyards, and Lake Worth for a more relaxed style of living. The original servants wing was redesigned to reflect the classical proportions of the main house and to create a more pleasing courtyard entry.
